Joyce McMillan, Scotsman ★★★★ A semi autobiographical one woman play based on Lubna's parents journey from a middle class life in Pakistan to Govan in Glasgow when her father was given a scholarship to do a Phd at Strathclyde university. Through eyes of different characters all played by Lubna you get a feel of what life was like for immigrants and the impact that stress and discrimination had on their health and wellbeing. She writes plays about her life and that of her family. Everything she writes and performs come from lived experience and are based in truth. She will make you laugh, cry and reflect. Lubna has successfully toured Tickbox, and its follow up Chatterbox all over the UK including sell out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe.
