Titus Andronicus

Adapted to a 1960s gangland setting, this Shakespearean tragedy deals with violence, murder, and retribution as the result of a ten-year war. The story revolves around Titus Andronicus' continued battle for vengeance between himself and Tamora, Queen of the Goths, whom Titus has taken captive, along with her sons, following the wars end. Despite Tamora's desperate pleas, Titus sacrifices her eldest son to avenge his losses and appease Roman law. Distraught, Tamora and her two surviving sons vow to obtain revenge on Titus and his family.
