Torbay Literary Festival: Roger McGough Alive and Gigging

Torbay Literary Festival: Roger McGough Alive and Gigging
Roger McGough Alive and Gigging
Roger McGough is probably our greatest and certainly most popular living poet. A true original, he first came to prominence in the 1960s, as one of the leading members of the Liverpool poets (he was a contemporary of the Beatles). He subsequently developed into one of the countries most celebrated poets, doing much to popularise and transform what had previously been considered a rather aloof form. His poetry is hugely entertaining, often funny, and will always make you think. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear a legendary performer.
Roger will entertain us with his latest one-man show and will sign copies of his books after appearing on stage. (Suitable for adults and older children).
