Tyneside Irish Dance: Finding Home

Tyneside Irish Dance: Finding Home
Home is where the heart is, and our hearts... are in dance From Tyneside Irish Dance, Finding Home follows Fiadh, a late twenties Northern gal, through her journey of discovering Irish Dance. Despite her Irish heritage and dreams of dancing, Fiadh has never danced before (unless you count that one St Patrick's Day). The show shares in Fiadh's ups and downs as she joins the local Irish Dance group. Starting something new as an adult is terrifying and exciting and nerve-wracking, but she's going to follow her heart - it's now or never. Fiadh finds so much more than she was looking for at classes: community, friendship, and self-compassion that grows with her love for dancing, but is soon swept away in her new dedication to dance and must make a choice before she pushes herself too far. Follow Fiadh in her search for her true home. Finding Home features dancers from Tyneside Irish Dance, a group that offers neurodivergent friendly classes for both new and returning dancers of all ages, as well as running beginner friendly ceilis and events across the North East. Fiadhs journey shows what all of the dancers in the group discover: its never too late to fall in love with dance. Please note this event will be performed upstairs in Newgate Social which currently has no step free access.
