Vasundhara The Earth Festival was inaugurated in 2021 as the annual event of Roopalasya School of Dance and a humble dedication to Guru Vasundhara Doraswamy for her contribution towards the field of art. In association with UV Events Ltd., this year we present international renowned artist Mr. Parshwanath Upadhye from Bangalore, India. His deep rooted knowledge of Bharatanatyam comes from a disciplined study of the form under eminent Gurus, Shri Ravindra Sharma, Shri Kiran Subramanyam, Smt Sandhya Kiran and Padma Shri Sudharani Raghupati. Mr. Parshwanath will be presenting the timeless tradition of Bharatanatyam through the structured beauty of the Margam. The event will commence with a presentation by students of Roopalasya School of Dance, followed by a Kuchipudi performance by Smt Vrata Chigateri from Sheffield. Smt. Vrata is a Kuchipudi performer, teacher and choreographer trained under esteemed Guru Vyjayanthi Kashi, gaining a strong foundation in the traditional style. Smt. Vrata is also trained in the unique art of Chitra Nritya under Guru Veena Murthy. She will be presenting a traditional Kuchipudi repertoire at the event.
