The 22nd Wainwright Memorial Lecture Presented by Alfred Wainwright's great-niece - Linda Collinge In Support of Great North Air Ambulance Service Alfred Wainwright's great-niece shows us more of the story of the legendary fell walker and author of the 'Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells'. From his roots in Yorkshire and an upbringing in Lancashire, to his later life in Kendal, we see him through the eyes of his family and the times in which he lived. Linda Collinge, the grand-daughter of Wainwright's older sister, Annie, was born and raised in Blackburn and shares her memories of great-uncle Alfred and the industrial town which shaped him.
