The Finnieston Bar & Restaurant

Housed in a wee old ex-drovers’ tavern (c.1800), The Finnieston is a cosy, cossetting spot for top-quality seafood, whether oysters, haddock and chips, fish pie, or a huge hot platter. Fancier offerings highlight the kitchen’s skills, such as baked coley, a beautifully balanced dish, served with celeriac purée, pickled mushrooms and confit garlic. There are playful nautical nods in the decor, with plenty of wood and a real fire, conjuring up a captain’s quarters in an old galleon. They have private dining upstairs, as well as a bar and beer garden for enjoying their impressive range of around 60 gins.
