After smashing box-office records around the world helming Fast & Furious 7 (currently the fourth highest grossing movie of all time!) director James Wan is returning to his horror roots. After the success of Saw, Insidious and the first Conjuring (no box-office slouch raking in over $318 million worldwide) the sequel will also draw on another infamous 'true' story for The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist and the production is seeking four actors aged between eight and 14 to play kids haunted in suburbia.

Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson will reprise their roles as Lorraine and Ed Warren as they head to the UK to deal with malevolent spirits in North London. This notorious 70s case is reported to be the most documented poltergeist in the UK as detailed in Guy Playfair's book This House is Haunted and also formed the basis for recent TV series The Enfield Haunting starring Timothy Spall.

The four parts on offer include the lead of Janet Hodgson who was the centre for the paranormal activity. Described as: 'Age 11. She is a thoughtful and curious girl from Enfield, London. Working class. We are looking for an exceptional child with emotional intelligence for this role. London or standard British accent. She must be able to handle dialogue and convey strong emotions.'

Alongside are three major supporting roles as siblings Margaret (age 14), Billy (age eight) and Johnny (age 10) Hodgson. And it clearly states: 'No previous acting experience is required.' But the deadline is looming so if you or your child wants a shot at horror stardom they must submit their casting video by 10 Jun.

Shooting will take place in London and Los Angeles between September and November 2015.
