Arts and culture publication The List (and list.co.uk) has been Scotland's go-to independent events guide since 1985, all the while advocating for the avant-garde, launching the careers of superstars and giving readers the best recommendations. Through its 758 published issues (not including additional guides on Scotland's festivals, must-see spots in the Highlands and Islands, and the world of Scottish food and drink), The List has cemented itself in the landscape of the Scottish entertainment world.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the live-events sector, The List has not been able to return in a physical form since the spring of 2020. But after a 23-month hiatus, The List team is thrilled to announce the magazine will return to print on Monday 1 March, 2022.

To support the return of The List magazine, a £35k Crowdfunder campaign has been launched, calling on all readers, collaborators, partners and beneficiaries from over the years to help protect The List's 37-year legacy. The funds raised will support a bounceback print publishing schedule and digital renaissance with new job opportunities and a brand new website.

An incredible £9k has already been raised, and rewards, including tickets for a Summer Nights At The Bandstand gig, Hendrick's Gin Masterclass and World Cup tickets, have already gone to generous donors. But fear not, there are still plenty of rewards up for grabs including: Bottles of Edinburgh Gin, a Glenfiddich whisky masterclass for four people, a bottle of Ardbeg Ten whisky, a bottle of Hendrick's Absinthe, four tickets to Johnnie Walker's Journey Of Flavour tour and much, much more.

Advertising space is also up for grabs, as well as tickets to the 2022 List Festival Party. All those who donate will also receive a digital copy of the new issue containing a written credit to say 'thank you'.

Sheri Friers, The List's Publishing Director said: 'The List has been helping subscribers, readers, supporters of the arts, festival goers and foodies "get a life" since 1985 and now we are asking for help to keep doing what we do best. If you have ever been to one of our infamous List Festival parties and had a drink on us, picked up a free copy of The List magazine and had a night out on our recommendation, entered a competition and won or just enjoyed our award-winning content, then please think about helping us out so we can continue to bring you all of these things.'

The appeal follows the separation of the publishing business from The List Ltd, the company that set up and ran the business for the last 37 years. The List Ltd will now focus solely on data provision, while a new company and List Publishing Ltd will take on all publishing responsibilities.
