Outlander: casting call for series two extras in Scotland

Hit TV show is looking for extras to feature in the upcoming second series
You may have heard that hit US series Outlander is finally coming to the UK (thanks, Amazon Prime). Our screens are soon to filled with attractive red-haired men in kilts and terribly beautiful women in long frocks, but when the second series lands, there may be one or two extra-familiar faces lurking in the background.
According to Project Casting, there is an open casting call for extras to take part in series two of the popular show. The site specifies that applicants are required to be aged 17–70, have the legal right to work in the UK, be of slim build with natural hair and no visible tattoos or piercings, have their own transport or live close to Cumbernauld, and be available at short notice.
In case you’re not clued up (although, really, where have you been?) the show is based on the novel series by Diana Gabaldon. We are introduced to protagonist Claire Randall in 1946, who is taking her second honeymoon in the Scottish Highlands, when she walks through a stone circle and suddenly ends up in 1743. We’ve all been there, right?
Despite being married, Claire falls for a young Scottish warrior by the name of Jamie Fraser, and finds herself torn between her love for him and her husband Frank.
If you fancy standing behind Claire (played by Caitriona Balfe) or one of the other actors in the show, send a headshot in. Application details can be found on the Project Casting site.
