The Decemberists scored big on Jimmy Kimmel's US talk show last night with a selection of hilarious YouTube comment renditions. Promoting their newly released sixth album, What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World, the indie folk five-piece known for producing smart, folklore/historically inspired lyrics went for something completely different and brilliantly irreverant, proving that everything sounds better when sung by the right people. Even YouTube comments.

The band kick of their UK tour at O2 Academy, Glasgow, Fri 13 Dec, before hitting six more stops around the country. Tickets are still available, but you better move quickly before this publicity train sees them all snapped up.
