For T in the Park's final year at its current home in Balado, Perthshire, we sent three of our music critics to deliver their verdict on each of the three days. Once you're finished reading up on Sunday's review below, feel free to see what we had to say about Friday and Saturday.

The weather turned for the better on the final day of T (good news for Metronomy and their white suits), as punters braced themselves for Balado’s (Very) Last Stand.

Kaiser Chiefs revved up the crowd like battle-hardened festival veterans. The more callow Chvrches made an unscheduled return to the site to fill the polite gap left by London Grammar, dedicating 'Recover' to Paolo Nutini who had covered the song the night before (had they heard his overcooked rendition?) and teaming up with Twilight Sad’s James Graham on 'The Mother We Share'.

Elsewhere on site, the frazzled Sunset Strip looked burnt to a crisp but the party-harders kept up the dance marathon through Sven Vath’s set in the Slam Tent, while Russell Kane off the telly regaled the Comedy Tent.

Unfortunately for sun worshippers, the King Tut’s Wah Wah Tent was where it was all happening on Sunday with idyllic sets from Metronomy and Tame Impala, and a triumphant showing by Franz Ferdinand, who hit the stage in peak condition and treated every track as if it were the last song of the encore.

It was a different, anti-climactic story on the Main Stage, where Paul Weller went meaty and muscular rather than balmy and hazy in the early evening sun, and Jake Bugg looked a little out of his depth, as yet unable to project to the back of the field.

No such issue for headliners Arctic Monkeys, even if the brylcreemed Alex Turner played it just a little too cool for such a momentous slot. 'I hate goodbyes,' he claimed. But this was hardly the time for stoicism, as Balado’s final piper and fireworks display brought the curtain down on 18 years of good times. Roll on the Strathallan resurrection.
