Still Game to return for live dates at The Hydro

Stars Greg Hemphill and Ford Kiernan are also set to discuss a TV comeback with the BBC
Beloved BBC comedy series Still Game is set to be resurrected on stage at The Hydro from Fri 19 Sep–Thu 9 Oct 2014.
Stars Greg Hemphill (Victor), Ford Kiernan (Jack), Paul Riley (Winston), Mark Cox (Tam), Jane McCarry (Isa), Gavin Mitchell (Boabby) and Sanjeev Kohli (Navid) gathered at The Hydro today to confirm that the inhabitants of Craiglang would be reunited for eight live performances at the Glasgow venue next year – with a subsequent return to television on the cards as well, pending BBC negotiations. The show's last outing was a Hogmanay special in 2007, after which Hemphill and Kiernan parted ways due to 'artistic differences' – it would appear these differences have now been reconciled.
With 11 months to plan for their big comeback, it's unclear what form the live show will take, although it's not an entirely unfamiliar format for the team, given that Still Game started life as a Fringe production in 1997. The timing of the reunion couldn't be better: with the Commonwealth Games and the Independence Referendum only just in the rearview mirror, Jack and Victor will have plenty of grist for the mill.
Tickets for the new dates of Still Game: Live at the Hydro (Fri 19–Sun 21 Sep) will go on sale from 9am on Fri 27 Nov, priced £30–£45. See listing below for more details and links to buy tickets.
