Grudge Match trailer pits Robert De Niro against Sylvester Stallone

It's Raging Bull vs Rocky in the upcoming comedy drama
In all those fantastical pub conversations about the best fights that never took place – whether Batman could ever beat Superman, or what would happen if the Terminator went up against C3PO – the fightiest fight of them all has got to be Raging Bull's Jake La Motta versus Rocky's, er, Rocky. Thanks to the magic of movies (and thanks to Sylvester Stallone's seemingly superhuman ability to pair himself with yesteryear's finest Hollywood talent), we're finally going to see that last bout come to pass, as Stallone and De Niro duke it out as two Pittsburgh old-timers resolving a long-festering Grudge Match.
While the emphasis is squarely on the comedy – stand-up Kevin Hart gets most of the best lines in the trailer, and there's a neat Rocky gag delivered by Stallone's coach Alan Arkin – there's a hint of dramatic depth as well, as De Niro's character is forced to acknowledge his relationship with his son (Jon Bernthal), while Stallone's boxer must explain his motivations to his partner (Kim Basinger). Plus there's the overhanging OAP question (which, in this case, stands for Old Age Pugilism): what happens when two over-60s men start knocking lumps out of each other?
These questions, and more, will be answered when Grudge Match hits UK screens in January.
