It all starts rather promisingly with the bawdy Australian duo of KelFi and FiKel sitting by the stage discussing their script as we take our seats. It’s all pleasingly postmodern as they decide (in conjunction with their tech) to switch a couple of words around so as not to be too vulgar in the wrong place. They then proceed to perform a song about not saying the C-bomb which cleverly involves them more or less uttering it around 50 times.

But that was the moment when the show died. For the remainder of the hour, they succeeded in undercutting a promising start by resorting to tedious repetition of all the bad words you can think of, with little rhyme, reason or point. A real shame given that the pair have a decent chemistry and are good performers, and the feeling persisted that all this was beneath them, as they lurched from one boring scatalogical setpiece to another. As good as example as any that battering away constantly at a taboo or idea will usually result in the decimation of its potency.
