From award-winning books to sell-out West End productions, there is plenty of family-friendly entertainment to be found at a theatre near you this year. Half-term is on the horizon and before you know it Easter and the summer break will roll in. For those school holidays or the weekend, we hope to inspire you with this list of the best kids theatre shows touring the UK throughout 2020.

Milkshake Live: Milkshake Monkey's Musical

Channel 5's Milkshake morning show and all its amazing characters are heading out on tour this year. Fans can enjoy Milkshake Monkey's new musical featuring much-loved characters Fireman Sam, Noddy, Shimmer & Shine, Digby Dragon, Wissper, Nella the Princess Knight and Floogals with two Milkshake presenters also front and centre.

Peppa Pig's Best Day Ever & My First Concert

The busiest pig on the planet, Peppa Pig is touring with not one but two shows throughout 2020.
My First Concert is a highly interactive show during which children in the audience are invited to learn about the diverse and exciting sounds made by each instrument of the orchestra.

The Lion King

The world-famous, best-selling smash-hit musical production of Disney classic has ventured from the West End. The List's Kelly Apter rated the production five stars, stating that the 'Disney musical proves it's still ahead of the pack when it comes to theatrical ingenuity'.

CBeebies Rainbow Adventure

A brand new touring pop-up experience for children, inviting them to step inside the world of their favourite TV shows. Rainbow Adventure invites children along for a fun-filled journey to find the missing colours of the rainbow in a world with flowers that change colour, rocks that make sounds and walls that light up across multiple spaces including the CBeebies garden with giant hedges and clouds.

Disney on Ice: Magical Ice Festival

The latest family-friendly show invites guests of all ages to join Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in a winter wonderland. The iconic Disney duo will be joined by an enchanting mix of Disney royalty like Ariel, Rapunzel, Belle, and Olaf, helping them to bring the most magical moments from across the Disney kingdom to life on ice.

PAW Patrol Live! Race To the Rescue

The latest live installment of popular kids TV show PAW Patrol follows 2018's The Great Pirate Adventure. Paw Patrol Live: Race to The Rescue follows a rescue adventure featuring hit characters Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky and Zuma.

Billionaire Boy

David Walliams has been penning hugely successful children's books in recent years and Billionaire Boy is no exception. Kids love it so much they adapted it into a stage show, following the life of Joe Spud, the richest boy in the country, who transfers to a local comprehensive in the hopes of making a friend.

Zog

Based on the popular children's book by Julia Donaldson with Axel Scheffler's illustration, Zog the big lovable dragon is brought to life in Mike Shepherd's magical adaptation which features Johnny Flynn's (award-winning actor and singer-songwriter) sumptuous folk score pieced together with live musicians.
