The Stone Roses announce 2013 UK tour dates and new material

Band play London's Finsbury Park and return to Glasgow Green
Manchester band The Stone Roses have announced three new live dates for summer 2013, following on from 2012's return to performing live that culminated in their record-breaking gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park.
Since their reformation the band have kept their cards close to their chest thus far regarding any plans to release new material. However their plans to return to the site of their legendary 1990 Glasgow Green gig as well as two London dates has sparked renewed talk of the band’s new creative endeavours. Having recently signed with Universal in the UK/Worldwide and Colombia in the US it would seem that the band now feel inclined towards re-entering the studio.
Following their recent renaissance, the Roses stock is at its highest point for a long time. The band’s only appearance in London last year was an exclusive secret gig at the tiny Village Underground venue attended by the likes of the Modfather Paul Weller and Olympic hero Bradley Wiggins. This time around The Stone Roses will play 2 nights at London’s Finsbury Park on the 7th and 8th June as well as a night at Glasgow Green on the 15th June. Support for the Glasgow gig has been confirmed as Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and The View. Tickets go on sale 9.30am on Friday 2nd November priced £55.
