On stage, sister act Flo & Joan have earned a solid reputation over the past few years as astute proponents of caustic wit sprinkled atop some silly songs. These actual real-life siblings (Nicola and Rosie Dempsey) are heading out on tour with their latest collection of tunes and chat entitled Before the Screaming Starts. Here, they tell us which podcasts make them feel clever and sad.

Which podcast educates you?
We're not ones for clever learny-learny podcasts, as they are formally known, but Jim and Tomic's Musical Theatre Happy Hour is a great one for theatre nerds (us) who want to know the ins and outs and evolutions of a million different musicals and how they all came to be in the world.

Which podcast makes you laugh?
Dear Joan and Jericha. It's disgusting and perfect. I could hear them say 'weepy boobs' till the day I die.

Which podcast makes you sad?
We have been known to shed a tear at a Desert Island Discs every here and there. Most recently, Glastonbury legend Emily Eavis' one was a tearjerker, but for happy reasons.

Which podcast is your guilty pleasure?
Hoovering with Jessica Fostekew. We don't feel guilty about listening to it but it does always make us hungry so we buy loads of food after listening to it. But we still don't feel guilty about it; it's just a full blown pleasure really. So the opposite of guilty.
