Simon Pegg stars in new trailer for A Fantastic Fear of Everything
Pegg plays a hyper-phobic children's author in the new comedy
After high profile action appearances in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and JJ Abrams' Star Trek reboot (not to mention the forthcoming sequel), it's nice to see Simon Pegg still has time to nurture his comedy roots. While we eagerly await the final instalment of his Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy with Nick Frost and Edgar Wright (due out in 2014, long-wait fans), we'll sustain ourselves in the meantime with A Fantastic Fear of Everything.
Directed by Chris Hopewell and Crispian Mills (yep, that one), the film tells the story of Jack (Pegg), a children's author turned crime novelist who battles with a list of ever-present phobias (including, apparently, homeless Santas, sinister stuffed hedgehogs and laundrettes).
On a really film-geeky note, the new trailer also offers a glimpse of the shiny new Universal logo. No? Just us then?
A Fantastic Fear of Everything is due out on Fri 8 Jun. We'll have a review for you nearer the time - meanwhile, have a swatch at the trailer below.
