1 Slam

We must never forget that at the heart of it Glasgow duo Stuart MacMillan and Orde Meikle are brilliant DJs mixing up a blend of deep house and techno.

2 International ambassadors

Slam’s DJ skills are in demand across the world taking Glasgow club culture global.

3 Pressure

The biggest underground techno and house party in Glasgow, Slam have made the Arches their own since 1992.

4 Laurent Garnier

The French techno master brings his LBS project to Pressure to help them celebrate.

5 Ben Klock

The Berlin DJ also joins the birthday bill.

6 Easter

Extra recovery time before work, so party hard and enjoy that bank holiday Monday.

7 Soma

Co-founded by Slam in 1991 Soma Records have released tracks by Daft Punk, Funk d’Void, Black Dog and many more.

8 ‘Positive Education’

One of the most recognisable techno tunes of all time. Killer when it was released in 1993, killer now.

9 ‘Eterna’

More top tunage from the Slam boys.

10 Alien Radio

Slam’s second album and probably their best.

11 Paragraph

Slam’s subsidiary label for the release of their own material.

12 ‘City Destroyer’

The first release on Paragraph showcased the classic Slam techno sound.

13 Fenetik/Fifth Freedom/Pnuma

Three (now dormant) sub labels from Soma that concentrated on non-house/techno releases.

14 Fabric

Not only regulars at the London super-club they also released a mix CD (Fabric 09) on their label.

15 Remixes

They’ve produced top remixes for the likes of Carl Craig, Josh Wink, Pan-Pot and Samuel L Session.

16 Remixed

Likewise they have been remixed by everyone from Carl Cox to Oxia.

17 Return to Mono

Not content with Pressure, Slam also run the more intimate Return to Mono at the Subbie (with guest Nick Curly).

18 Monopods

Slam release their Return to Mono sets as monthly podcasts online.

19 T in the Park

The biggest and best dance tent at any festival, this year’s line up already includes: Sven Vath, Fake Blood, Major Lazer, Benga and Simian Mobile Disco.

20 DJ Sneak

No rest for the wicked as Pressure returns with Chicago house’s finest, DJ Sneak on 27 Apr.
