Evanescence announce 2011 UK tour

The classically-influenced rockers to tour with The Pretty Reckless and Fair to Midland

Evanescence have reappeared seemingly out of nowhere to announce a series of UK tour dates throughout November 2011. The tour itself will follow the release of their third album this Autumn, so plenty of new material can be expected by fans, with the bands essential elements of classically-influenced rock remaining intact, accompanied as ever by the distinct vocals of lead singer Amy Lee.

Their debut album Fallen, which included the Top 10 hits 'Bring Me to Life' and 'My Immortal', sparked a string of successes for the band including two Grammy Awards. Their second effort The Open Door is not to be sniffed at either, going double platinum in the US after selling 5 million copies worldwide.

Since then the band have disappeared from the limelight to take a three year sabbatical but are now said to be excited to play for their UK fans, before heading across to mainland Europe for more tour dates.

Fans of The Pretty Reckless and the infamous Taylor Momsen will also be pleased to hear that the band will appear supporting Evanescence, following their own UK tour last December. Also in support are American art-rock band Fair to Midland.
