Wu-Tang Clan set for 2010 UK tour

Five reasons to go see: Wu-Tang Clan
1. They’re back and ‘formin’ like Voltron’
This is the first Scottish performance to feature ALL associated Wu members since 2007’s T In The Park. So expect RZA, GZA, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, U-god, Masta Killa and Cappadonna – even Streetlife and DJ Mathematics – to be in full effect.
2. Legend Of The Wu
Since ambushing the 90’s US hip hop scene with their potent cocktail of gritty beats, harsh, intelligent rap flows and unrelenting passion for Kung Fu movies, few groups have come close to matching Wu-Tang Clan’s collective talents or their long-lasting popularity.
3. O.D.B. R.I.P.
Since Ol’ Dirty Bastard died in 2004, his memory has been honoured at every opportunity, so expect a hefty group tribute to one of hip hop’s most maniacal MCs.
4. ‘Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthin To Fuck With’
The Clan’s heinous assault on the music world was asserted with this stone-cold classic, and is sure to tear the Academy to shreds, amongst many, many others.
5. It’s one last summer rap party
From Cypress Hill and Snoop Dogg to T in The Park’s tag team of Eminem and Jay-Z, this summer has seen hip hop well-represented in Scotland. A trip through the 36 chambers will most certainly round things off in style – get your ‘W’s’ up.
Wu-Tang Clan play O2 Academy, Glasgow, Sun 1 Aug.
