Of course the city’s laden with culture and art, and you definitely will make time to see that provocative installation by your mate’s mate who keeps banging on about how meta they are. But meantime, it’s OK to just want to go for a boogie. Here’s our pick of three weekend shows you can actually dance to at Adelaide Fringe.

History Of House
There’s something rather special about watching the stars come out as DJ Groove Terminator bangs out another hit while the Soweto Gospel Choir’s sweet harmonies fill the night. Feel-good house classics with a little bit of history and a whole lot of soul.
Gluttony, Wed 6–Sun 9, Fri 14–Sun 16 and Thu 20–Sun 23 March, 8.15pm.

Massaoke: Greatest Hits Live
This live band sing-along party is a total blast. Expect plenty of rock, and yes, that does mean spandex, big hair and air guitar, with an up-for-it crowd that don’t take themselves too seriously.
The Garden Of Unearthly Delights, Thu 7–Sun 9, Fri 14 & Sat 15 and Fri 21 & Sat 22 March, 11pm.

Hey DJ: A History Of Hip Hop
The incomparable YO MAFIA! is in charge of the decks, joined by the likes of Eliza Wolfgramm (The Avalanches) and MC Kirk (Heaven, HQ, Big 90s Show, Planet), as well as breakers, poplockers and dancers. There’s plenty to of hip hop lore as well as plenty of fun to be had.
Gluttony, Thu 7–Sun 9 March and Fri 21 & Sat 22 March, 9.55pm.
