Famous It’s worth flagging up Kushion’s entire revamped line-up since its recent refurbishment, but the new Friday-nighter is a good place to start. Kicking off with an early evening barbecue on sunny days, DJs Fozzie Maden, Joe Smith, James Lithgow and Status provide a night of indie, house and electro to keep mainstream crowds happy. Monox One of Glasgow’s most established and respected techno nights welcomes Unit Moebius, the Dutch answer to Underground Resistance. Rooted in lo-fi acid techno and bearing emergent transatlantic influences later in their career, the Hague quartet will provide possibly this week’s hottest clubbing ticket. Tictactoeclub This new(ish) night brings Seth Troxler to Scotland. The Detroit-born, Berlin-based techno producer, remixer and DJ has played some of the most well-respected venues in the world and released on Spectral, Crosstown Rebels and BPitch Control. Now he adds one of Glasgow’s best underground venues to the list. Stereo, Glasgow, Fri 7 Aug.

Pretty Ugly More femme-centric indie thrills from the Pretty Ugly girls, with a playlist that includes La Roux, Florence, PJ Harvey, Madonna and some boys too. To help you recover from a hard summer of festivals, this one-off Recessionista Special is free. The Admiral, Glasgow, Sat 8 Aug.

Solardisco The Ooft! duo Ali Herron and The Revenge join the Solardisco regulars, including the Glasgow disco-house mini-sensation that is Maelstrom. Lauded by the likes of Todd Terje and LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, he has already released on Eskimo, Mindless Boogie and his own Solardisco label during his short career.
