A health warning: your hands and throat will be sore from clapping and cheering following this show. The stunts come thick and fast from the cast of seven who flip, spin, drum, MC and juggle, all with the flair and energy of a video game on turbo setting. Two B-boys go head-to-head, in Mortal Kombat mode, while a basketball freestyler provides a mixture of comic relief and skill, finger-spinning and juggling an increasing number of balls.

And it’s a clever surprise to see drums used as a circus act. Drummer-director Gene Peterson smashes out riffs with one hand while casually playing jazz keyboard with the other. It’s a shame the line-up is so heavily gendered towards men; the only woman, the brilliant and energetic MC Mirrah, has her mic balanced so low against the drums that it’s hard to hear her rhymes. With a bit more diversity, a bonanza like this could inspire kids towards all kinds of street-style skills.
