Eagles soar to top of UK album chart
Veteran rock group The Eagles have topped the UK charts for the first time in their 33-year history.
The release Long Road Out Of Eden knocked Britney Spears into second place, after she released Blackout.
The Eagles have not released a full studio album since 1979’s The Long Run.
The Hoosiers came third in the UK Album Chart with The Trick To Life, followed by Raising Sand, the collaboration between Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.
Leona Lewis dominated the UK Singles Chart with Bleeding Love, selling more than the rest of the top five put together.
The X Factor winner was followed by Take That’s Rule the World, Westlife with Home, Apologize by Timbaland and Mark Ronson’s version of Valerie featuring Amy Winehouse.
