Oasis star Noel Gallagher is celebrating becoming a father for the second time, after his Scottish partner Sara MacDonald gave birth to a boy.

The baby has been named Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher and is the first child for the couple. Gallagher already has a seven-year-old daughter, Anais, with ex-wife Meg Matthews.

Singer Charlotte Church meanwhile gave birth to a girl at her farmhouse home in the Vale of Glamorgan. Her rugby player boyfriend Gavin Henson, who was not included in Wales’ World Cup squad due to injury, was by her side for the birth.

Finally, Mexican-born actress and producer for hit US comedy Ugly Betty, Salma Hayek has had a baby girl with French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault.

They named the baby Valentina Paloma Pinault.
