Lindsay Lohan
A light may have been switched on at the end of the tunnel this week for the troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. The charges connected with her two recent arrests for drunken driving and drug possession may be dropped to a less serious level, meaning she is less likely to face a long term prison sentence. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office is unlikely to charge Lohan with three drug-related offences, instead the 21 year old will probably face misdemeanor drunk driving charges for the incidents in May and July. If found guilty of both, Lohan would face a minimum four-day jail sentence, compared to the potential three years if the courts choose to bear their full weight. However authorities say Lohan’s case is still under review and district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said: “A public discussion of potential charges prior to a case being filed would be inappropriate and potentially unethical.”
