The final, final, last ever, really the director’s cut version of Blade Runner is to be released on HD-DVD, Blue-Ray, DVD and on a limited cinema run. The much vaunted unicorn dream sequence has been put back in, the hideous voice over removed and technical jiggery pokery has removed the ‘plainly a stuntman crashing through all that glass’ replicant death sequence. All of which will mean nothing to non-Blade Runner aficionados. But the DVDs come in a natty steel attaché case, which looks nice.
