Jim Henson's Muppet Improv - For Kids!

Having performed on TV shows like The Simpsons and Sesame Street, the puppeteering and vocal action of these guys is second to none. And while the laughs aren’t exactly thick and fast (clearly the performers benefit from the kind of well-crafted script which improv just can’t provide) the real magic comes from watching them work.

After enjoying The Muppets for years on television, it’s fascinating for audiences to see how the Henson puppets actually move. Arms held high in the air, the performers elevate the puppets to camera height. You can then choose to watch the incredible range of cute, funny and sometimes bizarre puppets re-laid live on-screen, or the puppeteers standing on the stage.

Relying heavily on audience suggestions, the show is only as good as you make it - so shout out your most surreal ideas and make them work hard for your money. (Kelly Apter)
