In a generation of remakes and never ending sequels, there is a new way to give nod to the classics you love. Film and television shows are being screened around the UK with accompanying orchestras. Each show is meticulously crafted, synchronising orchestral arrangements of (often award-winning) scores with cult classics, family favourites and groundbreaking documentaries. This immersive, chill inducing, way of watching could just be the ultimate fan experience. Here's some of the best orchestral film and TV tours we'd love to see in 2019.
Blue Planet II
The hit BBC nature documentary's most stunning moments will be projected onto a state of the art 200 square metre 4k ultra HD LED screen. What's better than that, accompanying the footage will be members of the City of Prague Orchestra performing the immersive original score of the latest series. Conductor Matthew Freeman will lead the orchestra through the music of Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shead and David Fleming.

Wallace & Gromit's Musical Marvels
The UK's most dynamic duo are brought to life with help of the Picture House Orchestra and presenter Matthew Sharp. Musical Marvels features the escapades of Wallace as he prepares to perform his musical masterpiece My Concerto in Ee Lad with help from his faithful canine companion Gromit. In true Wallace and Gromit style, nothing could possibly go wrong… could it?

Back to the Future
Fans of the classic Hollywood blockbuster are invited to experience the movie on the big screen like never before. The Czech National Symphony Orchestra play the soundtrack in sync with the film, bringing award-winning composer Alan Silvestri's iconic score to life. To enhance the performances Silvestri has added 20 minutes of brand new music for the show.

The Goonies
Be part of the first ever touring production of this 80s classic The Goonies with orchestral accompaniment. Composed by Oscar and ten-time Grammy Award-winner Dave Grusin, this movie score is as daring as its young protagonists.

The World of Hans Zimmer
Zimmer has crafted a show celebrating the music from a host of films including Rush, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hannibal, The Da Vinci Code and many more. Though the man himself is not present, Zimmer's soundtrack conductor Gavin Greenaway leads the symphony orchestra through the famous composer's work with complementing visual projections of film sequences to help recreate each cinematic world.

Pixar in Concert
Over the years Pixar has racked up a host of awards for the original musical scores that accompany each film. The new live show marries scenes from the likes of Toy Story, Ratatouille, A Bug's Life, Wall-E, Cars, Monsters Inc, Brave and Finding Dory with their scores as performed by a full orchestra. Attendees can expect a high definition multimedia show that is a true celebration of the works of Pixar.

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
Steven Spielberg's heart-warming masterpiece is to be screened as the acclaimed Czech National Symphony Orchestra play John Williams' Academy Award-winning score in sync. The alien that captivated audiences worldwide will do it all over again at a UK theatre this spring.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
As Potter fans well lnow this is the first of the series of books penned by J.K Rowling. Now fans can enjoy the 2011 film with orchestral accompaniment from the world renowned Czech National Symphony Orchestra as they perform John Williams' iconic score. .

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Live
Following the success of 2018's arena tour of Star Wars: A New Hope Live the next instalment of the Star Wars film concert series will travel around the UK with Oscar-winning composer John Williams' musical score performed live to the film. The performance will feature The Novello Orchestra and will be conducted by David Mahoney .

Love Actually
This Richard Curtis directed festive favourite will screen with the score delivered by a live orchestra. The score comes from BAFTA award winning composer Craig Armstrong, who also worked on Romeo & Juliet, Moulin Rouge, Ray and The Great Gatsby.
