There you’ll find over 1,000 rare and endangered animals, including the UK’s only giant pandas, and be treated to the famous penguin parade.

Perth
From Scotland’s ancient capital to the country’s newest city, Perth is bustling, compact and beautiful. When the weather is fine the River Tay Public Art Trail is an unbeatable way to explore and take in some eye-catching sculptures alongside the longest river in Scotland. Alternatively, Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park is a haven of flora and fauna, including roe deer and red squirrels, and would make a spectacular backdrop for a kid-friendly adventure.
Inverness
If you’re looking for stunning Highland scenery or want to try to spot the famous Loch Ness monster then Inverness is for you. It’s also the home of Inverness Botanic Gardens, described as a ‘green emerald in the heart of the city’, which boasts formal gardens, tropical and cactus houses and a wild flower meadow that’s sure to delight adults and children alike.

The Battle of Bannockburn experience puts you in the heart of the titular action with cutting-edge 3D technology, while The National Wallace Monument, one of the city’s most striking landmarks commemorating Sir William Wallace, is just a 25 minute walk or quick shuttle ride away. Get transported back to the 13th century to learn all about the Guardian of Scotland who led the Scottish army to victory at The Battle of Stirling Bridge.
Aberdeen
If you like to be beside the sea, this coastal city features a popular, award-winning beach well known for its recreational and sporting facilities, including a nearby multiplex cinema, retail park, gym, restaurants and fun fair. For a touch of history, head to the Gordon Highlanders Museum, a five-star attraction bringing to life the story of the eponymous regiment from the Napoleonic Wars to the modern day. Dundee
Known as Scotland’s sunniest city, the glorious Dundee is a UNESCO City of Design and home to the fabulous V&A Dundee, the first dedicated design museum in Scotland. Creative kids and grown-ups will also love the home of Dundee’s main art collection The McManus, an imposing Gothic structure, and the contrastingly modern Dundee Contemporary Arts. Learn about Dundee’s industrial textile heritage at Verdant Works and jump aboard the RRS Discovery to get a taste of Captain Scott’s heroic voyage to the Antarctic.
