The band will play the one-off show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton 

Long-running band Alt-J have announced a one-off gig to mark ten years since the release of their seminal album An Awesome Wave. Tickets for the show go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 22 April. Check the bottom of this article for a detailed list of the band's tour dates.

The Mercury-winning debut album has been a firm fan favourite since its release in 2012, launching the laidback indie rockers to stardom with the hit singles ‘Matilda/Fitzpleasure’ ‘Breezeblocks’ and ‘Tessellate’. 

Breaking the news on Twitter, the band said, ‘To celebrate the ten year anniversary of the album that changed our lives, we are thrilled to announce an extra show at Brixton Academy where we will play An Awesome Wave in full. 

‘We know how much this record means to our fans and can’t wait to turn back the clock to 2012 with them in London’s best venue.’

May will also see the band play a number of shows at intimate venues in support of independent record stores. Although most are sold out, tickets for these shows are on sale now.
