Parklife Festival announces one-off ticket resale for its 2022 edition

Manchester's Parklife Festival will release a number of new festival tickets in an effort protect festival fans from the dangers of the secondary ticket market and touts. The tickets will go on sale from 10am on Thursday 12 May.

The one-off resale will comprise of tickets reclaimed from ticket tout operations and failed payment plans, and aims to ensure fans aren’t sold fake tickets at an inflated price.

Working closely with Greater Manchester Police, the resale initiative illustrates growing concern among event organisers about the degradation of consumer rights from fake ticketing sites.

Graeme Openshaw, GMP Chief Superintendent, said, ‘We recognise that for an event such as Parklife that there are many people who will be unable to get tickets.

‘Unfortunately every year we deal with unsuspecting victims who buy tickets from touts and get ripped off because the ticket turns out to be a fake or stolen. Our advice would always be that if you don’t know where the ticket has come from and don’t know the person who is selling it to you don’t be tempted to buy it.’

This year’s Parklife Festival features a host of A-list performers, including 50 Cent, Tyler, The Creator, Megan Thee Stallion, Lewis Capaldi, Bicep, Chase & Status, Loyle Carner, Jamie xx, Four Tet, Peggy Gou, Arlo Parks, Folamour, Headie One, Central Cee, Fred Again.., ArrDee, Caroline Polachek, Tom Misch, PinkPantheress, Carl Cox and more.
