Best tickets on sale this week: Arcade Fire, Muna, Kane Brown, Dan Howell and more

In a darkened basement somewhere on a dreich Scottish peninsula, a lonely man is refreshing The List’s homepage with the intensity of a cat who's spotted a fly, his scraggly beard scraping his keyboard as he hunches caveman-like over a thumb-stained monitor.
‘When oh when will I be treated to The List’s exemplary ticketing round-up from which I’ve been so deprived?’ he asks himself, tears filling his baggy eyes. ‘How can I possibly leave this basement and speak to my wife again without the knowledge that my favourite weekly article has returned? From whence will I be cast adrift from the shores of Anhedonia to be reunited with an accurate and entertaining summary of events?’
That strange little man can finally get his life back on track because, after months in the wilderness, our regular summary of the best tickets on sale this week is back, and it’s better than ever. Actually, it isn’t better than ever. It’s exactly the same, which is fine.
This week we’re looking forward to gigs from indie rock masters, country pop lotharios, pint-sized punk rockers, and more. These are the hottest tickets available this week and they will sell out, so grab them quick to avoid disappointment.
Arcade Fire
Canada’s tallest man Win Butler and his cohort of indie-obsessed pyromaniacs will hit UK arenas this summer in support of their sixth studio album WE, a collection of anthemic tunes that aims to recapture the band’s glory days. By all accounts, Arcade Fire are machine-tooled for live audiences, their IMAX-sized tunes big enough to turn even their weakest lyrics into veritable crowd pleasers. Whether you've loved them since Funeral or Everything Now, it's high time you saw them live.
Tickets for the Arcade Fire’s UK tour go on sale at 10am on Friday 13 May.

Muna
Popstars-on-the-ascendant Muna have announced a handful of UK dates in support of their self-titled third album. This serotonin-boosting sugar pop trio have waited patiently at the edge of stardom since their first LP, but their affiliation with Phoebe Bridgers (who’s releasing their new album on her label Saddest Factory Records) has propelled them into the big time. These gigs, their first back to the UK since covid restrictions have eased, are guaranteed to be a delight.
Tickets for Muna’s UK tour dates go on sale at 10am on Friday 13 May.
Kane Brown
Winner of the ‘country singer we fancy the most’ award Kane Brown has announced a brief stint in the UK as part of his Drunk or Dreaming tour. We’d rather he was sober and singing, personally, but maybe we’re not his demographic. The guitar-strumming lothario may not be well known here but he’s a bona fide star in the US, so expect him to start bothering the UK charts sometime soon.
Tickets for Kane Brown’s UK tour go on sale at 10am on Friday 13 May.

Dan Howell
Former YouTube smart arse, author and presenter Dan Howell will tour the UK this September as part of his happy go lucky The End of the World Tour. Amidst his lamentations on Earth’s demise, he'll delight fans with his trademark snark and touching introspection.
Tickets for Dan Howell’s UK tour go on sale at 10am on Friday 13 May.
The Linda Lindas
Prepubescent punk wunderkinds The Linda Lindas have announced a one-off show at London’s O2 Academy 2 Islington this June in support of their excellent debut album Growing Up, a collection of riot grrrl inspired belters infused with a contemporary energy.
Tickets for The Linda Lindas' show in London go on sale at 10am on Friday 13 May.

Modest Mouse
Gloom-mongering indie geniuses Modest Mouse have added a date in Bexhill-on-Sea to their summer tour of the UK. Expect plenty from their latest album The Golden Casket and their 30-year strong back catalogue.
Tickets for the new date on Modest Mouse’s UK tour go on sale at 10am on Friday 13 May. All other tickets are on sale now.
Daniel Sloss
Darkly humorous comic Daniel Sloss has announced a handful of dates as part of his Can’t tour. We don’t know much about this one, but given Sloss’s usual obsessions we anticipate a generous helping of pitch-black humour that will shock and delight in equal measure.
Tickets for Daniel Sloss’s tour of the UK this winter go on sale at 10am on Friday 13 May.
Disney on Ice Presents Dream Big
If you love to watch anthropomorphic creatures potentially fall on their arse, then Disney on Ice Presents Dream Big will be a delight. While your children enjoy the show’s themes of courage and empowerment, you can harbour your secret desire to see a man in a Pluto costume suffer a serious injury in an ice-based stunt gone wrong. His bones crack in the freezing cold. His costume rips. In a desperate bid to stay in character, he emits a dog-like howl instead of a four-word expletive. You film it on Instagram Live and turn the accident into a viral sensation. It’s the perfect day out.
Tickets for Disney On Ice Presents Dream Big go on sale at 9am on Friday 13 May.
