Christian Brighty is already familiar to thousands of TikTok viewers for his snappy pastiches of period dramas. This is his debut solo live show, co-written with Amy Greaves who in addition provides a character on the mic, and a whole lot of fast-paced fun it is too. Lord Christian Brighty is a Regency dandy, though he probably takes more from Rik Mayall’s Lord Flashheart than Mr Darcy given how keen he is to get his end away. But this notorious shagger suddenly finds himself falling for the charms of Duchess Jessica: can he stay faithful?

Silliness reigns here but the script also knows how to turn a phrase for full comedic effect. Should the Lord’s sexual exploits get wearing or worrying, his behaviour is tempered by a modern perspective. Plus he believes in equal opportunities, indulging the ladies as well as servicing their dads too (though most definitely NOT the orphans living in his mine). There are daft yet inventive props aplenty, many of which are slightly wonky or wobble amusingly out of place adding a somewhat anarchic, flying by the seat of his pants to proceedings.
