It seems unlikely that anyone attending this show is actually looking for sex tips, which is just as well, as there are few to be found. Instead, you’ll spend a fun hour in the delightful company of ‘Dan’ (aka the wonderful Adam Fane) as he tries to zhuzh up the sex life of dowdy Professor Robyn (the cute and likeable Elena Sasso), who has her eyes on bod-with-a-brain Stefan (resident hunk Bradley Allen Meyer).

The premise is ludicrous: a literature lecture about Dan Anderson and Maggie Berman’s real-life book, Sex Tips For Straight Women From A Gay Man; so the real gold here is the audience interaction. Regardless of what the crowd gives him, Fane has a witty riposte. And whatever the task they’re handed (simulating taint tickling for example), once brought on stage, nobody is made to look foolish or feel humiliated. In short, there’s a lot of love in the room; and not just between prof and her would-be bed pal.

Heavy on the laughs, light on actual biological advice, this is a show for anyone who owns, or has a vested interest in, a penis.
