Happy payday! It's the perfect week to blow your hard-earned dough on gigs, and we've got a doozy of events lined up for your perusal. From perma-tanned octogenarians to hipster rock 'n' rollers and ice skating cartoon characters, we've sifted through some of the best live shows and compacted them into this handy digest. Take a look.

Whitesnake, Foreigner and Europe

Whitesnake, Foreigner and Europe have announced an arena tour of the UK in 2022. These hair-rock legends will blast out all the hits you know and love, including 'The Final Countdown', 'The Deeper The Love', 'Cold As Ice' and so many more. We can't imagine a better trio of bands to represent the wild and raucous world of 80s rock 'n' roll.

Tom Jones

The loudest man in showbiz Tom Jones will hit arenas across the UK in support of his latest album Surrounded By Time. Despite reaching the ripe age of 81, Jones continues to have one of the most powerful voices in pop. He played a gig next to my house a few years ago and, although I didn't attend, he was so loud that it was like he was bellowing 'Delilah' directly into my face. I'll be buying a ticket this time round to be blown away by his cracking set of pipes first-hand.

DMA's

Britpop revivalists DMA's will perform a massive UK tour this autumn. They've built a large and loyal fan base since their debut album Hills End released in 2016. If you love Oasis, Blur and The Charlatans, then this is the modern rock band for you.

Against The Current

Pop-punk is having a bit of a moment right now, and Against The Current are riding the wave in style. They'll be touring the UK next spring and bringing their unique combination of emo lyrics, power pop and brat-punk with them. Expect it to be loud, fun and loaded with emotion.

The Wandering Hearts

The Wandering Hearts have checked the pulse of country music, placed defibrillators on its chest and brought it back to life more revitalised than ever. If you love Emmylou Harris and First Aid Kit then the soulful harmonies and pitch perfect tunes of these Americana-tinged rockers are for you. They'll be touring the UK next May.

Saint Etienne

The legends of indie dance Saint Etienne will tour the UK this November in support of their new album I've Been Trying To Tell You. Singer Sarah Cracknell says, 'It's the first sample driven album we've made since So Tough and it's been a really refreshing experience, such fun! It's both dreamy and atmospheric, late summer sounds.'

Johnny Marr

JOHNNY! JOHNNY! JOHNNY F**KIN' MARR! Expect to hear that a lot if you see the former guitarist and songwriter of The Smiths on his UK tour this September. Such expletive-laden chants are worthy of his talents, as there seems to be no limit to what Marr can do with a guitar. These are his first gigs since pandemic restrictions have eased, so expect a celebratory atmosphere that only he can provide.

Johnny Marr will tour throughout September. Click here for performance dates and tickets.

Jack Dee

Jack Dee has added a string of new dates to his Off The Telly tour in 2021 and 2022. He's been the nation's favourite sourpuss for over two decades, and he'll be offering his usual acid-tongued wit about everyday life, including smashed avocadoes, Extinction Rebellion and second-hand shops.

Jack Dee will tour the UK throughout 2021 and 2022. Click here for performance dates and tickets.

Disney On Ice Presents Find Your Hero

A cavalcade of your favourite Disney characters are hitting rinks around the UK this winter in Disney On Ice Presents Find Your Hero. The film corporation's biggest hitters will get their skates on and bust some moves, including characters from Moana, The Little Mermaid, Tangled and more. One for kids and adults alike.
