The Glasgow International Comedy Festival has announced its glorious return in March 2023 with 380 events across 37 venues.

Acerbic offence-monger Frankie Boyle will open the Festival, which will also see shows from Susie McCabe, The Duncan & Judy Murray Show, TikTok star Paul Black and Marc Jennings. Other highlights include a mix of homegrown talent and popular favourites including Phil Wang, Rich Hall, Jim Smith, Craig Hill, Stewart Lee, Zoe Lyons, Liam Farrelly, Maisie Adam, Nick Mohammed, Ria Lina, Jason Byrne and Marjolein Robertson, amongst others.

Frankie Boyle will grace Glasgow with his latest show Lap Of Shame.

The new Festival Director, Krista MacDonald, said, ‘Seeing the range of talent that 2023’s festival has to offer fills me with pride and cements in my mind that Glasgow really is the funniest city in the world.

‘The Festival is a major event for the city, showcasing homegrown talent, nurturing the next generation and bringing much loved names to the city - and the programme really does rise to create a truly special occasion.

‘There is no audience like a Glasgow audience, and whether you are from Glasgow or beyond, you will not want to miss out on being a part of it. There is something for everyone’s tastes.’

The festival will take place across multiple venues across Glasgow, with a mixture of sketch troupes, stand-up acts, drag, music, improv and kids shows. Find a full programme of events on the official Glasgow Comedy Festival site.

The Glasgow Comedy Festival will take place from Wednesday 15 March to Sunday 2 April.
