Where to dine in for Eat Out Edinburgh

Foodies spending time in the capital will be chomping at the bit this month as Eat Out Edinburgh returns from Monday 13-Sunday 26 March. With over 35 participating establishments, including The Alchemist, Lady Libertine and Bonnie & Wild, there are plenty of delicious deals to dine out on. Here are a selection of our favourites.

Bonnie & Wild Market at St James Quarter

Baba

A staple if you’re into tapas of the Mediterranean persuasion, Baba boasts colourful sharing plates ranging from hummus and charred clementine and harissa-topped labneh to grilled lamb and marinated artichokes. Order four courses for lunch as part of their Eat Out offer and it’ll cost you £25 per head. 

Ka Pao

If a hearty and flavour-packed meal is what you’re after, this Southeast Asian restaurant has you covered. With warming broths, zingy rolls and vibrant curries on the menu, as well as a great selection of vegan and vegetarian options, this is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Order from their set four course menu for £17.50 per diner.

Ka Pao

Maki & Ramen 

Suckers for sushi ought to get their chopsticks ready for Maki & Ramen’s set menu offer. Order one of their sushi sets, a side and drink of choice for £15 at the St James Quarter branch.

Franco Manca 

You simply can’t go wrong with this no-fuss franchise that churns out delicious bubbly-crusted sourdough pizzas with speed and ease. During Eat Out Edinburgh, diners can enjoy two courses for £13.50 or 3 courses for £19 with their set menu. So, treat yourself to a tiramisu or two.

If you’re a city-centre worker and in need of a weekday steakhouse treat, Hawksmoor are offering two or three courses for a very reasonable £24 or £27 this Eat Out fortnight. Avoid skimping on wine by heading along on BYOB Mondays. Although with corkage at £5, you might want to take the rest of the afternoon off…

Grazing by Mark Greenaway

For all the fine dining enthusiasts out there, acclaimed chef Mark Greenaway is offering a five course tasting menu and bottle of wine for two at his Grazing branch inside the Waldorf Astoria for £99. Expect classic Scottish dishes elevated with high quality, locally sourced ingredients and innovative cookery.
