Scottish artists to watch at Glastonbury 2023

As Glastonbury returns for another year of top-class music, iconic performances and questionable flags, check out what Scottish artists are making an appearance at Worthy Farm this weekend.
Lewis Capaldi
After making the difficult decision to cancel all his upcoming shows to ‘rest and recover’, all eyes will be on Capaldi as he performs his anticipated Glastonbury set this weekend. Expect songs from his latest studio album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent paired with the Scot’s usual comedic charm.

Originating from Glasgow, this synth-pop outfit are performing at Glastonbury for the first time since 2016 with their mix of electronic dance and indie pop.

Young Fathers
The release of their latest critically acclaimed album, Heavy Heavy in February provides the perfect spring board for Edinburgh group Young Fathers to take to the Glastonbury stage. Promising free-flowing energy, this trio are spectacle to see live.

Joesef
An artist always keen to represent their country is Glasgow-born, Joesef. Recently back from UK and US tours after the release of their debut album Permanent Damage this year, this marks their first performance at Glastonbury.

Ewan McVicar
Scottish DJ, Ewan McVicar will be joining the line-up of Tech House talent at this year's festival. Following the success of his recent event Pavillion Festival that he organised in his home town of Ayr to promote Scottish dance music, McVicar is ready to take on Glastonbury for the first time.

corto. alto is the musical creation of Glasgow producer and multi-instrumentalist Liam Shortall. Along with award-winning musicians Fergus McCreadie and Graham Costello, Shortall explores new and original sounds in his live shows.

Rebecca Vasmant Ensemble
Producer and bandleader Rebecca Vasmant will be incorporating her love of jazz and dance music in her set at this year's festival. Her 2021 album With Love, From Glasgow presents the very best of Scotland’s Jazz scene and will be brought to life with a band of live players on stage.

Glastonbury 2023 runs from Wednesday 21–Monday 26 June and will close with a performance from Elton John on the Pyramid Stage. Amid other headliners like Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses, there is plenty of Scottish talent to look forward to at this year's festival.
