Lauren Mayberry has announced her first ever solo tour, with the promise of solo material on the way. Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10am on Monday 24 July. 

Mayberry, who has been the lead singer of CHVRCHES for more than a decade, took to social media this week to launch her solo career, writing, ‘This year is the 10th anniversary of the first CHVRCHES album. I met Iain and Martin when I was 23 — a little baby of a person, in hindsight. Looking back on what we’ve achieved together, so much of it doesn’t feel real or even possible. Thank you to every person who has been a part of that.

‘I am so proud of all the chapters our band has been able to have and I am so grateful to my bandmates for taking me on that journey with them. We are all confident that the CHVRCHES story has many more pages yet to be written.’

The UK leg of her tour will begin on Thursday 5 October at Glasgow’s Oran More, before heading to Birmingham’s O2 Institute 3 on Friday 6 October, Manchester’s Gorilla on Sunday 8 October and culminating at London’s Scala on Monday 9 October.
