Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival announces launch event Manifesto
The day-long event will kick off the festival in Glasgow and explore what a mental health revolution would look like

The Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SMHAF) has announced the programme for its opening event, titled ‘Manifesto’. The day-long event will, according to a press release, asks, ‘What does a mental health revolution look like? And how do we start one?’

Taking place at Glasgow’s Centre For Contemporary Arts (CCA) on Wednesday 4 October, the diverse line-up will include songwriting collective Hen Hoose, socio-political artist Heather Marshall, poet Imogen Stirling (pictured, top) and musician Sonia Killmann, writer and performer Skye Loneragan, and art and science collective Traumascapes.
SMHAF itself will take place from Wednesday 4–Sunday 22 October across Scotland and will aim to ask provocative questions and form a manifesto for social change through live performance and creative acts. Check the official SMHAF site for further details of their programme.
