Beecraigs Festive Forest 

Beecraigs Festive Forest includes an illuminated light trail, Santa’s grotto, Mrs Claus storytelling, carol singing and funfair rides as well as cosy food and drink. New for this year is a pick-up service (from Bathgate and Linlithgow) so car-free families can visit too.

Castle Of Light: Magic And Mystery 

All-new light projections dance across the walls of Edinburgh Castle, with immersive illuminations guiding visitors through the historic monument's grounds amid a sea of twinkling lights. Peek over the ramparts to get a unique view of the whole city lit up for Christmas.

Christmas At The Botanics 

Fully re-imagined for 2023, discover huge seed heads, larger-than-life crocuses, bright pampas grass and sparkling tunnels of light, plus projections onto Inverleith House. A range of street-food vendors will be on hand with indulgent hot chocolates and toasted marshmallows.

Edinburgh Zoo Winter Village 

Running alongside the normal zoo opening hours with a handful of evening sessions, Edinburgh Zoo is going all out for Christmas. An ice-rink, Christmas market, craft workshops and festive grotto (complete with Mr and Mrs Claus) means there’s plenty for the whole family to explore.

Monteviot Lights

The first light trail in the Borders, Monteviot House & Gardens promises a magical experience for visitors of all ages. Embracing the natural background of the gardens, the sound and light display aims to highlight the beautiful surroundings with a truly enchanting experience.
