The Stand announce first Fringe shows for 2024
This year’s roster includes Jo Caulfield, Andrew O’Neill, Seymour Mace, Robin Grainger and Vladimir McTavish

The Stand have announced their first shows for this year’s Edinburgh Fringe which takes place from Wednesday 31 July–Monday 26 August. In a move described by managing director, Mike Jones, as ‘back to basics’, the Fringe company has vacated its New Town Theatre space and will instead present shows across its six traditional Stand venues.

This year’s comedy offerings include Jo Caulfield: Pearls Before Swine, featuring the caustic performer and regular fixture on TV shows including Have I Got News For You, House Of Games and Mock The Week. Cult comedian Andrew O’Neill also returns with his brand new History Of Metal – Redux.
Provocative performer Seymour Mace lives up to his reputation with the charmingly titled Seymour F*cking Mace You C*nts! While Scottish comedy institution Vladimir McTavish celebrates 30 Years Still Standing Up. Aberdeenshire’s Robin Grainger, who made headlines in 2022 when his Fringe show attracted a single audience member (an audient), continues his ascent with Refurb.
Other announced shows include Alex Love: How To Win A Pub Quiz, Gavin Webster: An Hour Of Swearing And Shouting and Gareth Mutch: Modern Man.
The Edinburgh Fringe will take place from Wednesday 31 July–Monday 26 August. Find out more about The Stand on their official site.
