Glasgow Royal Concert Hall is the setting for Glasgow Comic Con this Saturday 1 June, where guests include Bryan Hitch (Ultimate Avengers), Frank Quitely (All-Star Superman), Roger Langridge (The Muppets), Sarah Graley (Rick & Morty) and David Lloyd (V For Vendetta).
As Edinburgh International Children’s Festival enters its final weekend, don’t miss out on family-friendly theatre, puppetry, dance and musical storytelling in a range of venues across the city. Until Sunday 2 June.
If an evening of queer pop anthems is what the doctor ordered, Audio in Glasgow is dedicating an entire club night to rising star Chappell Roan this Saturday 1 June in Beg 4 U: Chappell Roan. Music by Charli XCX, Rina Sawayama, Marina, Kim Petras and SOPHIE will also feature.
MUSIC

Alt-pop songstress Girli arrives at Saint Luke’s in Glasgow this Sunday 2 June, performing songs from her 2024 album Matriarchy. Expect an evening of queer pop bangers with high energy and bite.
What started as a small monthly jazz fusion jam session in Marchmont will celebrate its one year anniversary and make its Summerhall debut this Saturday 1 June. Rhythm & Revolution will feature musicians from jazz groups Zoracle and Echo Hotel Collective, alongside DJ Mark Quinn.
STAGE

From under Strictly Come Dancing’s glitter ball to the Pavilion Theatre come professional ballroom dancers Nadiya and Kai with their new show Behind The Magic. The real-life couple will dance their way through waltzes, jives and tangos, telling a story of their lives as they go. Sunday 2 June.
Adapted from the classic 1968 musical film, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang brings its UK tour to The Playhouse, Edinburgh this weekend. Marvel at a flying automobile and sing along to ‘Truly Scrumptious’, ‘Hushabye Mountain’ and more of the Sherman Brothers’ classic tunes.
After nearly a decade on the West End, Patrick Barlow’s adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps is back touring the UK, making stops at Glasgow’s Theatre Royal this Friday 31 May and Saturday 1 June.

Ever wanted to watch Ewan McGregor climb into that hellscape of a toilet with 4k clarity? Now’s your chance as a restored version of Trainspotting enjoys limited screenings at the Glasgow Film Theatre across the weekend.
Starring Léa Seydoux and former List coverstar George MacKay, The Beast is a sci-fi drama by French director and screenwriter Bertrand Bonello. Set in three different eras and exploring dystopian themes of alternative realities and AI, this ambitious film hits cinemas on Friday 31 May.
Also coming to UK cinemas this Friday 31 May is Palestinian director Muayad Alayan’s A House In Jerusalem. After moving from the UK to Jerusalem with her father, 12-year-old Rebecca begins to befriend Rasha, a Palestinian girl only she can see.
