Jupiter Rising X Edinburgh Art Festival share first news of line-up
The one-night only event this August will take Queer Summer Fete as its theme

Jupiter Artland have teamed up with Edinburgh Art Festival (EAF) for the second year in a row for a programme of experimental music, poetry and artist performance, titled Jupiter Rising X Edinburgh Art Festival. Tickets for the night (Saturday 17 August) are on sale now.
The evening, starting at 6pm and ending at 1am, will be a celebration of underrepresented artistic voices, championing queer artists and experimental practice, and will be opened by Gemma Rolls-Bentley promoting her latest book Queer Art : From Canvas To Club, And The Spaces Between alongside the artist Prem Sahib. Taking the theme of ‘Queer Summer Fete’, Sgàire Wood will appear with their Queer karaoke event Sgàiraoke, and the club night collective Femmergy will aim to create an intersectional, open space celebrating femme art and music. Full line-up details are ‘coming soon’, according to event promoters.

Jupiter Rising is central to our programme, and it’s fantastic that the ethos of this event is aligned with the programming from the EAF team. We look forward to welcoming audiences this August.’
The evening marks 20 editions of EAF, the largest annual festival of visual art. Alongside the evening at Jupiter Artland will be 55 EAF events taking place across Edinburgh, including a Birthday Launch Party at Custom Lane, an in conversation with artist Karol Radziszewski at the City Art Centre, and a performance by Lithuanian artist Agné Jokšé at City Art Centre.
