World’s largest free film festival to kick off at Edinburgh Zoo this November
Into Film Festival has unveiled a packed programme of film screenings across Scotland

The Into Film Festival has announced a teeming programme of free film screenings across Scotland, hosting more than half a million pupils and their teachers at previews and classic film screenings hosted by special guests from the industry. This year’s edition of the festival will take place from Friday 8–Friday 29 November.
The festival (which claims to be the world’s largest free film festival) will kick off on Friday 8 November with a screening of the charming animated drama Kensuke’s Kingdom at Edinburgh Zoo, followed by a Q&A with actor Aaron MacGregor. Other highlights include a screening of Saoirse Ronan’s The Outrun followed by a careers panel with some of the Scottish-based crew involved in the production; A Scots language screening event featuring The Room On The Broom for younger pupils; and a screening of Inside Out 2 for World Kindness Day.
For older students, highlights include Back To Black, The Fall Guy, A Quiet Place: Part One and Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes. Documentaries include To The End, Is There Anybody Out There?, Food Inc. 2, All That Breathes, Wilding and Copa 71.
