Scottish anthems galore at Concert In The Gardens
Following a recent run of sell-out arena shows and rave reviews across the UK, including two triumphant sold-out nights at Glasgow’s Hydro, Texas’ headline slot marks their first appearance at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay for almost 20 years. Supported by hometown hero Callum Beattie, and hosted by Susie McCabe, Concert In The Gardens is set to be a big one for the Sharleen Spiteri-fronted band, featuring Scottish bangers and career-spanning anthems ‘I Don’t Want a Lover’, ‘Say What You Want’ and plenty more. The beat of Scottish Trad at the Street Party
The Tartan Zone on Castle Street welcomes the best of Scottish trad, with the legendary Peatbog Faeries, Celtic-electronic tunes from Valtos, and special guests The Poozies. Kickstarting the Street Party celebrations on the with a line-up of high energy Scottish tunes, the Tartan Zone is not to be missed.

NYD Club Night at Leith Arches
For those looking to continue the party on New Year’s Day, Leith Arches will host a club night with an all-female line-up playing house and old skool bangers from 9pm. Headlined by Scottish DJ Hayley Zalassi and featuring Edinburgh locals SWATT Team and Disco T*ts, the club night will be the perfect way to party your way into 2025.

Indie-rock legends Idlewild at the Assembly Rooms
Edinburgh locals and indie-rock legends Idlewild headline the Night Afore Concert this year. Joined by special guest Jill Lorean, Idlewild bring their ferocious live performance to the heart of the city’s Hogmanay celebrations in an intimate venue setting after three decades in the music industry. Set to be a very special homecoming show for one of the city’s favourite exports.

Karine Polwart, Come Away In at St Giles Cathedral
Join acclaimed folk singer and songwriter Karine Polwart, choir director Stephen Deazley and 200 community singers for Come Away In, an atmospheric First Footin’ event at St Giles’ Cathedral on New Year’s Day. Celebrate crossing the threshold of the New Year in the embrace of massed voices and song in the resonant, historic space of the city’s 900-year-old cathedral. Part performance and part turning-of-the-year ceremony, this is sure to be a special moment on New Year's Day.

New Year Revels: Maximum Ceilidh Edition
New Year Revels is back at the Assembly Rooms with the Maximum Ceilidh Edition, bringing more live ceilidh bands than ever before to send you birlin’ through the bells. Featuring the incredible Jimi Shandrix Experience, Bella McNab’s Dance Band, Hugh MacDiarmid’s Haircut and Bodhran Bodhran, the Maximum Ceilidh Edition literally couldn’t be more Scottish; the perfect spot for visitors to experience a traditional Hogmanay.

Hot Dub Time Machine brings the bangers at the Night Afore Disco Party
Aussie DJ sensation Hot Dub Time Machine returns to Edinburgh’s Hogmanay for the first time in a decade to headline this year’s Night Afore Disco Party. With support from The Cuban Brothers and High Fade, DJ Tom Lowndes will send the crowd dancing through the night with a show packed full of non-stop bangers spanning decades from the 60s to current day; the perfect party night out.

Vitamin C by the sea at Portobello Town Hall
Keep the party going on New Year’s Day with a much-needed boost of Vitamin C, as Vic Galloway and Andy Wake bring their spectacular club night to Portobello Town Hall for a night of incredible live music, featuring alt-rock legends The Vaselines, support from Sacred Paws, and DJ set from Django Django’s Dave Maclean. Expect non-stop dancing and a night of rock’n’roll, psych, cosmic disco, soul, funk and rarities; basically, all the good stuff.

Hometown Heroics from Callum Beattie
Edinburgh local hero Callum Beattie has progressed from busking outside the city’s Usher Hall to selling out two nights at the iconic venue and now he'll have a Hogmanay to remember as he supports Texas at this year’s Concert In The Gardens. Bringing his own punchy and gloriously catchy debut album to the country’s biggest Hogmanay party, Callum Beattie is a Scottish success story for the ages and will close out a triumphant year on a high, following a number one in the Official Scottish Albums Chart.

The best of the Scottish Album Of The Year Award
As part of the free First Footin’ music programme, Greyfriars Hall at Virgin Hotel hosts a celebration of Scottish music in collaboration with Scotland’s national music prize, showcasing this year’s outstanding Scottish albums. With performances from this years longlisted and shortlisted artists, including Dead Pony, Broken Chanter, Spyres and Bee Asha, The SAY Award Showcase will spotlight some of the best homegrown talent from the past year.
