Tide Lines announce headline UK tour for 2025: How to get tickets
The Glasgow Love Story tour will hit venues in Stornoway, Manchester, London, (you guessed it) Glasgow and more
Scottish rock act Tide Lines will embark on a massive tour of the UK this autumn. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 26 March. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a detailed list of the band’s UK performances.
The tour comes in support of their forthcoming album Glasgow Love Story, set for release on Friday 25 April on their own label and continuing their knack for marrying crowd-pleasing indie rock with traditional folk stories.
Starting with their biggest headline show in Glasgow at Rouken Glen Park on Friday 6 June as part of The Reeling Festival, the band will then hit venues in Stornoway, Aberdeen, Inverness, Sunderland, Manchester, Bristol, London, Edinburgh, Stirling and Dundee.
Vocalist and guitarist Robert Robertson said, ‘We can’t wait to get back out on the road for a run of shows that will include some of the songs from the new album. It’s been amazing to see our fans’ reaction to the singles on social media but nothing beats playing live and hearing people sing along! There are a lot of new venues for us on this tour which is exciting. First up, our adopted home city of Glasgow (which inspired the album) and our biggest ever headline show in Rouken Glen Park!’
The lead single for Glasgow Love Story, ‘Better Days’, will launch on streaming platforms on Friday 28 March. Robertson said of the single, ‘It’s a song looking back on youthful optimism and togetherness. It reflects the “southern bound” journey that the band took from the highlands of Scotland to Glasgow, a city celebrated in the album as a whole.
‘Both lyrically and musically, it harks back to our folk roots: talking of “tales of old acquaintance” and incorporating more traditional instruments that we recorded in our studio on the Hebridean island of Mull.’
